With our PAT Testing service you will have piece of mind that your IT equipment has being tested by qualified IT professionals who know the equipment they are testing.

Our engineers will complete visual inspections of the electrical items and carry out the necessary electrical tests to determine if they are electrically safe for your to use.

Before isolating the power supply from IT equipment, the permission of the responsible person will need to be obtained before our engineers can carry out the tests required to obtain a test result for any items. Any IT equipment that needs to be powered down prior to testing will also need permission from the responsible person so that our engineer can perform the necessary tests.

What we do.

• User Checks

Our engineer will advise the responsible person on site on how to complete basic user checks on all electrical equipment before use and to record any faults found.

• Visual Inspection

In this test we check the plugs physical appearance for damage and wear and tear and obvious signs of damage. We also check the internal wiring of the plug, internal wire condition, terminal tension, fuse rating and the flex clamp. A visual inspection of the items flex is also completed to check for cuts, wear and damage.

• Electrical Tests

The tests that we must carry out to declare an item electrically safe is dependant on the class of item. These tests include: Earth Continuity, Insulation Resistance, Polarity of Wiring, Earth Leakage.

• Certification

Each item will be added under a unique ID to our system and a detailed pass and fail report will be printed or sent to you via email for your records. Each item will also have a pass or fail label affixed once testing has been completed. Any items that have failed any of the tests will be removed from the premises for safe disposal and recycled if possible.
